After eight years as a tractor-trailer driver, I recognized the road to success when I saw it!  Thirty-One came into our lives when I was ready to start contributing again to the family income.  This opportunity felt just right & seemed too good to pass up - at the time I was a stay-at-home wife and mom to a toddler.  I also have three adult children (one of whom is now at Home with our Lord) and prior experience as a nanny, factory worker, as well as security guard – plus 14 years spent previously in a different party plan, which was my very first job.

In 2008, my original goal was to do 4-6 parties per month and earn enough to pay for my youngest son's upcoming preschool.  Since personally introducing the Thirty-One opportunity to more than 100 DreamBuilders, which has led to over 7000 women joining the team (so far!), our current goal is to continue enjoying the business income which covers our medical insurance since my husband, Bruce, was able to retire a few years early after his 32 yr. career as a truck driver.

The financial security from my Thirty-One business changed life for our family.  A few years back, Bruce and I went car shopping.  We wrote a check for over $20,000 to pay for it – in full – on the spot.  As we drove away and were pondering that fact in silence, he turned and said, "Did you ever think there would come a time we'd have been able to do what we just did?"  And I agreed that I had never imagined it! It’s wonderful to have no debt and retirement funds stashed in the bank, which we’re still adding to.

Balance is important in a successful business.  I've learned about setting office hours and try hard to stick to them so it doesn’t feel as though I’m working all the time. When you’re driven to succeed with Thirty-One, I recommend relaxing and enjoying yourself at your parties.  Your pleasant and confident demeanor will speak volumes to potential DreamBuilders and future Hostesses without you saying a word!

When building a team is your goal, you should have a personal schedule filled with parties.  This way, you can really demonstrate the financial potential of a Thirty-One business to those in your downline, and also invite new local Consultants to come to parties with you to look, listen and learn.

I have been so blessed by encouragement from my upline, and thank our team members for seeing the potential of Thirty-One, knowing what they want and taking this opportunity to run with it!

“Aim at, strive for & seek God's kingdom first above all else,
& He will supply every other thing that you really need.
Don't be alarmed or afraid, little flock,
because your Father takes great pleasure in giving you His Kingdom!
Sell what you possess and provide for those in need.
Get for yourselves purses that will never grow old or wear out –
store up riches in heaven where they will be safe & never used up...
where thieves can't steal & no moth can destroy them.
For the desires of your heart will always be where your treasure is.”
