Free DIY printable holiday cards

There’s nothing better than receiving a handwritten card in the mail, so spread that holiday cheer this year with DIY stationery! Send an extra-special holiday message with customized, handmade cards decked out in some of Thirty-One’s sweetest seasonal prints from our Fall Catalog.

What you’ll need:

  • Printer
  • Paper
  • Blank cards or cardstock
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon, twine, yarn or string
  • Double-sided tape or glue
  • Pen or marker

Optional:

  • Stamps and ink pads
  • Holiday stickers

Directions:

Start with a blank card, or create your own by cutting a rectangle out of cardstock and folding it in half. Print your free Thirty-One prints and cut out rectangles of various sizes – these will be your presents. You can use a ruler to make these more precise, or just freehand it! Using glue or double-sided tape, stick your “presents” to the front of your card, with their bottom edges flush with the bottom edge of the card. Then, cut ribbon or twine into roughly 6-inch pieces. Tie these pieces into bows and trim any excess ribbon. Use glue to fasten your ribbons on top of the presents.

The best part about making your holiday cards by hand is that you can personalize your message! Use markers to write the name of who’s receiving the card, or use stamps or stickers for a more polished look.

And in the spirit of gifting …

Here’s another fun holiday treat from your friends at Thirty-One! Print these gorgeous gift tags to label presents, stockings, wine glasses, cookie swaps – even make festive name tags! – for all your get-togethers this season.
