World Vision Volunteer, Burundi

“I was finding it hard to carry my prenatal and malnutrition supplies by hand. I am happy to now have a tote bag to protect them, so I can help reach many mothers and children.”

Renathe Kabageni is a World Vision Volunteer in Burundi who used to carry her teaching materials combatting malnutrition by hand. Her materials got torn or dirty quickly, and it was difficult when it rained.

She is nicknamed ‘Mother Light’ by children, as they have heard her say she is coming to give light on how to feed them with a balanced diet. Products donated to World Vision through a partnership with Thirty-One Gifts, are shared with communities in need so that volunteers like Renathe are able to continue the important education they are providing to women and children – many of whom live in remove villages where prenatal and nutritional supplies are desperately needed.

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization with a mission dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
