I joined because I loved each of the products I owned and decided to sign on for myself. Since then, I have seen how Thirty-One strives to keep thier customers happy as well as their consultants.  I have been blessed by being a part of the Thirty-One family!

My story: I began selling Thirty-One in July of 2008. At that time, I was teaching Second Grade full time, involved in my church, and focused on my family- my husband, Mike, and my two children, Emma Grace, and Eli. My children were 7 and 4 at the time. I joined because of the products as I mentioned earlier, and we could use some extra money to pay for the extras- dance, ball, vacation, etc. That's exactly what it was at first. As time progressed, I began developing health problems. It took a few years, but I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was relieved by the diagnosis, but I had a very skewed idea of what would happen later. I thought I'd get some medicine and life would continue as usual. I was WRONG! During that time, I had become so sick, I was miserable and unable to teach all day and come home and be mommy and wife to my family. Meanwhile, I had built my team and was a director. I noticed that my Thirty-One paychecks were about the same as my school paychecks. Plus, I enjoyed going to parties and having girlfriend time and fun while earning money, and bonus trips at the same time! After much prayer, contemplation, and discussions with my husband and my doctors, it was decided I would have to retire from teaching. I have always felt that teaching was my calling from the Lord, but as this decision was made, I had peace. Now, I do miss being with those sweet children and the parents I made relationships with, but I can work my Thirty-One business since it is on my own time, and still contribute financially without my health being affected. When I am working my business, I can do almost all of it from home and be relaxed and when I do my parties, I have fun and make good money for the time I am working. Plus, how many jobs do you have where you are continually rewarded and recognized for the work you do and encouraged by your fellow consultants to continue to grow and be all you can be?

Thirty-One is more than a job for me, but I do believe the Lord provided it to me so that my family's needs would be met financially. It has been so much more to me. It has been an opportunity for me to see the strength in other women as well as myself. It has caused me to "step out of my box." It has given me friendships I never would have been able to have without Thirty-One. I have been priveledged to be a part in other women starting thier own successful businesses. I could go on and on: A Disney trip, a free week in Mexico, bonuses for promoting, etc! Those are just the icing on the cake! Mainly, I have peace and joy which is something that money can't provide.
