Why would anyone with 3 boys under the age of 3 begin their own business???

Sanity! 

After the birth of my 3rd son (in three years) I realized that I needed and wanted to do something to help myself and my family. Prior to becoming a stay at home mom, I was a teacher. I loved my job so much that every pay day, I would laugh all the way to the bank! I could not believe that they would pay me for doing something I loved!!

I also LOVE being a mom and feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with our boys! Thank you, Michael (my darling husband) for that gift. Yet, I missed the camaraderie of having a job outside the home. I missed the social outlet of being with other adults, the reason to put on some lipstick and comb my hair! I missed helping our home by earning a paycheck and bringing in a little something extra and taking some of the financial burden off Michael.

That is when Thirty-One entered my life. I thought I would just "give it a try" and earn myself some CUTE bags for cheap. But from my very first show I was hooked. This "job" truly gives me the opportunity to celebrate. encourage, and reward other women. I love going to shows and sharing the products, but most of all I love sharing the message of Thirty-One.

My team is another family for me. It's amazing to look back over the last 5 years and see how far WE have come! I am so thrilled to be a part of such a unique company. I am BLESSED to be able to help other women and watch them grow as Thirty-One touches their lives. It's rewarding amazing watching people BLOOM because you are doing something you love.

It has also helped our family grow closer as we have learned to be a better and more solidified team. My husband is completely supportive of my "work" and tells me daily how proud he is of my accomplishments. There is nothing so sweet as one of my boys asking me how my "firty-one show" went. I hope they never learn to say thirty-one the right way! LOL We have all learned how to work together so that this opportunity is a gift for us. I look forward to each new season as I cannot wait to see where Thirty-One takes my family and my Thirty-One family as well.

UPDATE MARCH 2022

I have NOW been with Thirty-One for 14 years! Those 3 little boys who inspired me to choose Thirty-One are a senior, sophomore, and 8th grader and in 2014 God blessed us with our fourth son! My husband Michael and I are celebrating 21 years of marriage! I am blessed to have a HUGE support system on the home front and my always "there for me" sisters!

My friends and I have built an amazing team through the years. These ladies (and gents!) make Team Golden Girls and Guys the TOP TEAM in every way! After COVID cancelling the FUN celebrations we usually get together during, Thirty-One gifted us two bucket list trips to earn this year and I earned both! Thank you, to those who love Thirty-One and give me the pleasure of being your Thirty-One Girl! In April, I get to have fun in the sun with my team and friends at The Hard Rock Resort and Casino in Punta Cana. And in May, our just graduated oldest will be my plus 1 to Rome! We are counting down the days! 

During the Pandemic, one of the BEST things I did to save my sanity was to get more technical so that I could still have parties, trainings, and keep connected with my Thirty-One Family. Team Golden Girls and Guys had our most successful year during COVID. Never have I felt more lifted by helping others! I am so excited to be back "in home" partying but also using those new tech skills to expand my business online.

Clearly, taking a chance on that $99 Thirty-One kit in 2007 was a fork in the road of my life. I didn't know it at the time, but I was choosing to change not just mine, but those who God brings into my life. I really cannot imagine my life without my business or team, friends and home office staff. Thirty-One changed our family for the better. I can't wait to see where we go from here. With faith and love, I know that we are headed towards another celebration!
